It’s been a crazy busy weekend. With all this rain and yucky cold weather, it was perfect for locking ourselves indoors and getting tons of crafting done. I realized I don’t want to give away every detail, I want to leave some things to be a surprise for you, so I apologize for the vague nature of these pictures. 🙂
I had to work most of the day Saturday at the theatre for the MeAct One Act Festivals, which CLT was hosting. Saturday night we went to Nate’s cousin Nick’s graduation party – pig roast. Yumm! So Sunday was the “let’s get it done” day. Kate picked me up at 8:00 and we attempted to go yard sale-ing. I say attempted because although there were plenty of signs out, no one was open. It might have had something to do with that rain stuff coming down, but we didn’t understand that, as illustrated by Kate screaming out the windows “why isn’t anyone open?!” as her windshield wipers are on full blast.
So we came home and got to work. My mom and my sister Michelle came over to help. We got lots of work done: some signage for the wedding, lots of painting and sewing and fun projects.
Ann came over from the white house to show us the dresses she’s picked up. My mom still hasn’t got her dress so it was helpful to see what Ann was thinking. On that point, I need to schedule my next dress fitting too! Ahh!
We have a meeting this Saturday with University of Maine Farmington to discuss menu, floor plan and reception logistics. I’m excited to get that nailed down. Then Sunday we’re meeting with Dan Johnston, our pastor/officiant.
There’s lots going on and lots to do. It’s incredible how this wedding is beginning to consume my every thought. I sleep with a notepad next to me and have a bag of my binder, magazines and notepad that is with me all the time. I can’t seem to focus on anything, since every two seconds I’m thinking of something else that needs to get done. It’s going to be a long three months, I’m so ready for 8.20 to get here!!
